Erica Moore, 2012 World Indoor Champs, photo by PhotoRun.netThe 2012 World Indoor Championships showed the world that Turkey can put on a World Championships and let the word out that they are serious about hosting the Olympics in Istanbul. A city with tremendous history, Istanbul played a tremendous host to the World Indoor Champs. The Gary & Larry Show, aka Running Network TV, visited our zillionth event, and we were in rare form. I apologize upfront for the twitching and jumping (moi) as I was tanked up on Turkish coffee. I could have kick started a 747 with the amount of caffeine I swilled down. Anyhow, Gary did some amazing interviews and color commentary on the weekend.
Gary Morgan. How do I describe him? He is Hunter S. Thompson meets Mr. Rogers. The energy of the former chain smoking writer for Rolling Stone magazine (although Gary does not smoke), and the thoughtfulness and observational skills of a kindegarten teacher. Gary Morgan got me out of the track to visit the Bosperus Bridge, the Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque. I had a ball.
We think that you will enjoy, once again, our videos. Our enthusiasm is there, sometimes, our relationship with technology is not. For, that, we beg your indulgences.
