Chris Solinsky has decided not to compete in the Olympic Trials, coming June 21-July 2, 2012, which will be held in Eugene, Oregon. Per an article in the Milwaukee Sentinel Journal, Chris Solinsky is still coming back slowly from his hamstring surgery, and will not be ready for the June Trials.
EUGENE (USA): World 2009 finalist Chris Solinsky, the first American
under 27:00 for 10 000 m and the second fastest ever at 5000 m, is still
on the road back from major hamstring surgery and has elected not to
enter the US Olympic Trials in Eugene in June. “I’m going to have to bag
it this year and swallow the hard pill that it’s not going to happen,”
Solinsky told the Milwaukee-Wisconsin Journal Sentinel.
