Do you run with a friend? My most successful running was always with training partners. Training partners allow you to get some help when you are having a bad day and help others when they are having bad days. It is also much easier, or perhaps, it seems that way, when someone else is out there, under the lights at night, running a hard workout, keeping you company, than when you are doing it by yourself.
Wednesday: Warm up, 45-50 minute run, then 5 x 150 meter stride outs, running the strideouts at a brisk pace, then jog back and repeat. Cooldown afterwards.
