Former AR holder at the 10,000 meters, Chris Solinsky, in a copyrighted interview on FloTrack by Ryan Fenton, and posted full interview by Mitch Kastoff, announced that he was focusing on the marathon distance. Solinsky, a former UW Madison standout, surprised many with his fine debut at 10,000 meters in May 2010, when he became the first non-African male to break 27 minutes for the 10,000 meters.

In 2011, Chris Solinsky developed an unfortunate series of injuries that has seen him take the next couple of years to build back up to his massive strength and endurance base. A fine interview by FloTrack!
