[Audio] Brett Goucher Interview by Larry Eder before the 2014 Boston Marathon

Brett Gotcher is one of those unheralded marathoners who could be the talk of the town on Monday afternoon. A 2:10:36 debut in 2010, Brett Gotcher took fifth in the US Olympic Trials in 2012.

Brett has moved back to Aptos, CA, where he was raised and ran in high school. He is engaged to his high school sweetheart. Coached by Greg McMillan, Brett runs many days with Danny Gruber, his high school coach from Aptos, CA.

Looking fit and relaxed, expect Brett to be in the top ten overall, and if he has some luck, watch the guy edge into the 2:09 territory, and top five. Brett reminds me of Rob De Castella, in both size, stature, racing pbs and ability to call upon his inner strength at end of a race.

This interview was done on Friday, April 18.
