Lavillenie thinks 620
PARIS (FRA): IAAF Athlete of the Year Renaud Lavillenie is looking to have an even better year in 2015, report sport365.fr. The pole vault world record holder said, “If I jump five times to over six meters and I’m European champion and World Champion 2015 could be almost better than 2014!” Something that would certainly help him to improve on his 2014 season, is an improvement on his world record of 616 and he has a goal in his head: “I hope to clear 620,” he reveals.
(Editor’s notes: Renaud Lavillenie cleared 6.16m this year. He is without peers, quite frankly. To clear over 6.00 meters is amazing. To clear over 6.05 meters, those who have can be counted on fingers. Lavillenie is starting his 2015 early. You can see him in the US (Reno in January) if you want to see the best vault.)
