Lindsay Flanagan is the top American women marathoner in Frankfurt. We caught up with her on Friday, October 29, in the lobby of the Movenpick. As one would expect, Lindsay is relaxed, and comfortable in an interview situation.
Lindsay is a graduate of the University of Washington. Her sister is a Husky and ran the Pac-12s on Friday. Lindsay has a marathon PB of 2:33:12, from Houston in 2015. Also in 2015, Lindsay won the silver medal at the Pan Am Games.

In 2016, Lindsay finished 14th in the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials in 2:39:49 in February. In July, Lindsay finished 18th in the 10,000 meters, running 34:17.25.
Lindsay is confident of her preparations for Mainova Frankfurt. ” When you get an opportunity like this (coming to Frankfurt), you just can’t turn it down.”
Lindsay Flanagan was interviewed by RunBlogRun’s Larry Eder on October 29, 2016. Here is our audio interview. Special thanks to Lindsay Flanagan, and to the brother, Brian Eder, for producing this Soundcloud audio.
