567 from 49

BELGRADE (SRB): In total 567 athletes from 49 countries are entered for 34th European Indoor Championships in Belgrade this week. Germany has the biggest team with 46 names. In the same time before 2015 European Indoors in Praha 643 athletes from 49 countries have been entered. Missing are Liechtenstein and Russia because of the ban.

RunBlogRun opines: My first Euro Indoor was in 2011 in Bercy. What do I enjoy about the Indoors? Athletes from so many countries, and a crowd that enjoys athletics. Goteborg in 2013 was creative and my first return to Goteborg since 1995. Prague in 2015 was fantastic, with a receptive crowd, some surprise winners and great moments of track and field. Watch for our coverage of both Euro Indoors and USA Indoors.
