Reposted July 15, 2017

This interview was first run on January 16, 2017. As the cross country summer training season is beginning, we are reposting. Frank Gagliano is a coach among coaches. He wears his emotions on his shirt sleeve. This man loves his athletes and his athlete respect him, and yes, love him. In his eighth decade on this planet, Gags, as this fine coach is called, knows a few things on training for cross country. Watch, take notes, repeat.

Coach Frank Gagliano is the head coach of the HOKA ONE ONE New Jersey New York Track Club. We met up with Coach a the New York City marathon and plied him with questions. At that time, he invited us to come and see his clubs workouts in New Jersey, so watch for that this Spring 2017. Here is part two of Coach Gags speaking on the care and training of high school distance runners.
