Cuban Yaime Perez with 69.19 improved her PB, is now second in the World list 2017 and defeated Olympic winner Sandra Perkovic who got 68.30. Third reigning World champion Denia Caballero 64.43 and fourth Olympic medalist Melina Robert Michon 63.63. US Olympic medalist Sandi Morris cleared 476 in pole vault ahead of Olga Mullina 450. Cuban Yunier Perez continued in improving as he won the 100 m in another PB 10.03 (+1.8) over US Brandon Carnes 10.14 (pro debut in Europe) and Liberia´s Emmanuel Matadi 10.18. For local fans the top result was the steeple win by Mahiedine Mekhissi Benabbad 8:20.14 ahead of Ethiopian Amare Hailemariam 8:20.33. Andrew Riley from Jamaica clocked 13.33 (+1.2) in the hurdles over Shane Brathwaite 13.36. South African Carina Horn got 11.05 (+2.6) 100 m win, Cuban Rose Mary Almanza 2:00.46 in the 800 m. In the 400 m hurdles Juander Santos beat in 49.69 Omar Cisneros 49.81. Moroccan Fouad El Kaam got the 1500 m 3:38.03 and South African Zarck Visser long jump 807 (+1.9). Brazilian Geisa Coutinho in 51.93 defeated Brits in the 400 m, Perri Shakes-Drayton 52.37 and Anyika Onuora 52.48. In high jump Erika Kinsey of Sweden beat on count-back Slovenian Marusa Cernjul, both 191.
