POTCHEFSTROOM (RSA, Feb 27): World champion in javelin Johannes Vetter showed top early shape at an open meet in Potchefstroom during his training camp in South Africa. As he informs on his twitter, he achieved 91.22 what is World lead 2018. It is third best competition of his career. Also best ever result in February. But it should be noted there was even earlier better result in the history, Steve Backley achieved 91.45 on January 25, 1992 in New Zealand. Dai Greene won the 400 m hurdles in 49.49 and booked his place for the Commonwealth Games team.
