Johannes Vetter, Pawel Fadjek and Christoph Harting at European Throwing Cup, March 10-11

LEIRIA (POR): The final entries for the European Throwing Cup in Leiria on 10-11 March have been released. Three reigning global senior champions will be competing across the two day programme: Olympic discus champion Christoph Harting, world javelin champion Johannes Vetter and world hammer champion Pawel Fajdek. Harting will face world silver medallist Daniel Stahl and last year's winner Lukas Weisshaidinger in one of the standout events on the programme. Five other senior winners from Las Palmas twelve months ago will be in action: Bosnia & Herzegovina's Mesud Pezer (shot put) and France's Quentin Bigot (hammer) on the men's side and Hungary's Anita Marton (shot put), France's Alexandra Tavernier (hammer) and Slovenia's Martina Ratej (javelin) on the women's side. Other notable entrants include European U20 heptathlon champion Alina Shukh from Ukraine in the U23 javelin and European U20 heptathlon silver medallist Geraldine Ruckstuhl from Switzerland in the senior javelin.
