ELEVEN SPORTS is available on many satellite and cable outlets throughout the country, including on DIRECTV channel 623, Verizon Fios channel 597, and AT&T U-verse channel 1665.
--It is believed that this is the first national network telecast of a CCCAA championship event. Track & field is the CCCAA's largest state championship -- with more than 80 women's and men's teams involved this year!
The telecast (and earlier live webcast) was sponsored by the California Community College Cross Country and Track Coaches Association, with underwriting by Wall2Wall Sport. It was produced by Fred Baer, College of San Mateo Sports Information Director.
Host announcer was George Devine, Jr., with interviews by Gary Dilley (retired CSM athletic director) and commentary by Mark Covert (retired Antelope Valley Coach) and Baer.
SHOW AVAILABLE VIA PENTV'S YOUTUBE LINK: Major production facilities were provided by PenTV (with Executive Director Bridget Michelsen directing the production). The edited program can be viewed, on demand, on that Silicon Valley network's website:
Full streaming coverage of the May 18-19 State Championships and the May 11 Northern California Championships meet is archived on baosn.tv. More than 12 hours of original coverage is featured.
