2018 Parnu Athletics Meeting Diary: Kirt Magnus throws 84.43m (after 85.31m in Birmingham)

PARNU (EST, Aug 19): At the Parnu Athletics Meeting 2018, Simon Pettersson won the discus with 63.54m from Martin Kupper (62.41m) while Gerd Kanter achieved fifth-place finish in 60.43m. One day after competing in the Birmingham Diamond League, Magnus Kirt won on home soil in the javelin with 84.43m. Bosnia & Herzegovina's Mesud Pezer won the shot put wit 20.33m from Belarus' Aliaksei Nichypar (20.23m) and neutral athlete Sofiya Palkina won the hammer with 69.86m. Ukraine's Krystyna Hrushtyina won the long jump with 6.61 (+2.0) and teammate Tatyana Melnyk won the 300m in 37.10. Latvia's Mareks Arents cleared 5.40m to win the pole vault. Latvian Janis Leitis won the 300 m in 33.26. In the 1000 m races the winners Lithuanian Simas Bertasius 2:21.11 and Finland´s Sara Kuivisto 2:40.81.
