London Marathon Events to fund top endurance British athletes

LONDON (GBR): The organisers of the Virgin Money London Marathon will fund Britain's top endurance athletes to the tune of £350,000 in 2019, London Marathon Events Limited has announced. The sum of £180,000 will go to British Athletics to fund the World Class Performance Programme and high altitude training camps for British endurance athletes. A further £70,000 will be allocated to 32 nominated individual athletes not on the WCPP, while the other £100,000 will support the Endurance Performance and Coaching Centre at St Mary's University in Twickenham.
