2019 Pre Classic Diary: Back from Injury, Ryan Crouser ready to throw at Stanford!

I met with an enthused and focused shot putter, Ryan Crouser, at the Pre Classic.

Already, Crouser has thrown a 22.74m PB and several other 22 meter plus throws this season. A tear in a pectoral muscle meant a month break, and now, he is ready. Crouser is juggling competition blocks with hard training blocks as he prepares for the long season of 2019 and short season of 2020.

How will he fare? I think he looks and seems ready.

The men's shot field is amazing, and World Champ Tom Walsh is in Palo Alto to throw against Ryan Crouser!

Update, post event: Ryan Crouser took lead with 22.17m throw in round 1, then, in round 3, Darlan Romani threw 22.46m, then, 22.55m, then, 22.61m, to take win, set NR/MR 3 times.
