Kipchoge for one race at a time
MILANO (ITA): Marathon World record holder Eliud Kipchoge is focusing always for one race at a time. He confirmed that in an recent interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport in which he did not want to speak too much about the Olympic ambitions. “I normally focus one race at the time, so for now my full focus is on the Virgin Money London Marathon in April.” He also answered a question about the new shoes: “In life we see developments. In cycling they don’t use frames of steel anymore, but they use carbon frames. We see the same developments in other sports. Concerning the current shoes in athletics I can say they reduce the impact from the ground which is a great contribution for both the elite athlete as the amateur runner as well for injury prevention.” The Italian daily named him the Top Sports Person of the Year 2019.
