Nice to see Jarrion Lawson has been vindicated. Looking forward to seeing him jump and sprint again.

Lawson cleared
WASHINGTON (USA): Jarrion Lawson, the 2017 world long jump silver medallist, has been cleared of doping after proving his positive test in June 2018 was the result of eating contaminated meat, his agent Paul Doyle has told Associated Press. Last spring the Athletics Integrity Unit rejected his appeal, but the Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled in his favour. Details are expected to be released next week. “I’ve been training for 19 months,” Lawson said. “I’m excited to show the world what I’ve been doing. This is the first time that the CAS has ever sided with an athlete in a meat contamination case and I’m sure this was a hard decision for the panel, but I applaud them for making the right decision. But through this process I have uncovered some major flaws in the doping control process and some unethical people within the system. I intend to pursue recourse for self redemption, but also, and more importantly, so that this never happens to a clean athlete ever again.”
