For the past few years, some of us have had our eyes on Tori Bowie.

And now, the world will.

At the U.S. Outdoor Champs, Tori Bowie battled English Gardner to the tape in the 100 meters, after a series of amazingly fast, and wind-aided rounds and semi finals. Tori Bowie won the 100 meters and took the US title.

RunBlogRun caught up with Tori at the adidas Hospitality Lounge on August 20, 2015, and spent ten minutes asking her questions about her life, racing and her need to compete. A fasincating young women, with huge amounts of talent and a charming demeanor, Tori Bowie is one of the top 100 meter women sprinters in the world. And, I must say, I believe that her best event is the 200 meters. But, when asked what her favorite event was, she said, the long jump (Outdoor PB: 6.91 meters, indoor PB: 6.95 meters).

When asked if she wants fast times or wins, this is what the US champion had to say: With a look of "are you kidding me", Tori said, " I always want to to win." Then, she added, " I rise to the quality of the competition."

Remember that when you watch the US champion race in Beijing, China.
