Conversations with Larry: The 2016 Chicago Marathon

The 2016 Bank of America Chicago Marathon was two fantastic but very different races. The women's race saw a group of seven go out fast, and Florence Kiplagat took off after 19 miles and ran to a fine 2:21:32. On the men's side, the race showed a group of athletes who did not have pace makers. The race came down to a battle between Dickson Chumba, the defending champion and Abel Kirui, two time World Champion. In the final 200 meters, Abel Kirui broke the race, and won, his first race win since 2011! Here is how I saw the race. The video was produced by the Shoe Addicts, the digital partner of RunBlogRun.
