The Men's Long jump was one of the finest indoor competitions in WIC history. Luvo Manyonga and Juan Miguel Echevarria battled for the entire competiton. In attempt 4, Luvo Manyonga dropped a 8.44 meter leap, taking the lead. Then, attempt five started, as Juan Miguel Echevarria, the 19 year old Cuban, leaped 8.46 meters to take the lead and the World Lead. Marquis Dendy, defending champion leaped a big one, 8.42 meters, and set a PB and took the bronze medal.

We sat down with Marquis Dendy that night, after his competiton, and told us about how the competition went, and what he thought about his new PB, how far can he go outdoors.
