This is the review of the HOKA ONE ONE EVO Jawz, fine cross country shoes from HOKA ONE ONE, a company that knows a thing or two about off road running. Cregg Weinmann has reviewed footwear and apparel for California Track & Running News since the mid 1990s, and for the RunningNetwork since 1998. If you would like to see this review on Running Product Reviews, please go to: HOKA ONE ONE EVO Jawz. At RunBlogRun, our goal is help you find the perfect shoe for you. Our suggestions: always visit your local running stores at end of day, take a clean pair of running socks, and try on five to six different brands, and jog around in them. Real running stores allow you to check the right show for you. For more reviews, please go to www.runningproductreviews.com.

Hoka One One EVO Jawz $130
Hoka was founded on a principle that traditional thinking is less effective than disruptive thinking. The Evo Jawz is a hybrid cross between a track spike and a trail racer, making it perfect for the gnarliest cross country mud fest. The upper is lightweight, closed mesh with welded overlays, somewhat formulaically routine, but effective in its execution. The midsole is a thin wedge of compression molded EVA, for a touch of cushioning - whether on-road, way, way offroad, or somewhere in-between. The outersole is an aggressively lugged, articulated Vibram® rubber, for a blend of conforming cushion and traction, which works surprisingly well on a variety of surfaces, though especially natural surfaces. If you have more than one racing shoe in your quiver, the Evo Jawz should be one of them.
