Yego will throw this week
ELDORET (KEN): World champions Asbel Kiprop, Julius Yego (his only meet in Kenya before he travels to Europe), Nicholas Bett and Vivian Cheruiyot are pencilled in to compete at the sixth and last Athletics Kenya (AK) Track and Field Weekend Series Meeting which begins on Thursday, informs Citizen Digital. The event will take place at the Kipchoge Keino Stadium. Against Kiprop also Nixon Chepseba, Silas Kiplagat and Elijah Manangoi in the 1500 m. Special entry is the fresh World Half Marathon champion Geoffrey Kamworor also in the 1500 m. In the 800 m Timothy Kitum and Ferguson Rotich are expected. World steeple champion Hyvin Kiyeng is also expected to participate. World Cross Country champion Agnes Jebet will compete in women’s 5000 m as she makes her first appearance since winning gold in China in 2015. Adds Daily Nation.
