2025 Athletics Chat #4, World Championships Edition, the view from Team GB!

This is Athletics Chat #4 for 2025. It is focused on the World Champs in Tokyo, September 13-21, 2025. It featured Stuart Weir, RBR senior writer, Europe and Larry Eder, RBR Editor.

Stuart Weir has written for RunBlogRun for a decade now. In 2015, the charming writer and I met in Birmingham and discussed my desire for him to write for us, proving a European view of the sport. Stuart Weir agreed! Most years, our friend writes 125-150 pieces a year for RunBlogRun, besides going to sometimes 20 events a year.

This year, Stuart Weir is staying home and covering the World Champs remotely. His doctor, who happens to be his daughter, was not real positive about him being on the other side of the world.

So, Stuart Weir and I took an hour and discussed the chances of Team GB in Tokyo, plus some fun global assumptions. Let us know what you think!
