Emma Bates is a member of the Boston Athletic Association’s High Performance Club. Emma has run 32:13 and is looking to improve her 5000m PB (15:43). As Coach Terrance Mahon has told her, improving her 5000m PB will help provide her access to the finishing speed she will need of the 25 lap race (10,000 meters). This interview was filmed at the Novina Hotel, across the yard from the adidas Global HQ in Herzenogaurach, Germany, the day of her 5,000 meter race on May 13, 2016.
