Editor’s comments: The MIllrose 2 mile has been described as an Olympic final class field. Grant Fisher, in his interview with RunBlogRun (#SocialingtheDistance, Episode 139) had the best description, “It is more dense than an Olympic final !”.
Well said.
The 2 mile is a glorious distance and should be raced more often, in my humble opinion. Watch the MIllrose Game son February 1, 2026 on NBC sports in the U.S.
Also, one more thing, if Josh Kerr is in a race, I would make it a standing practice to watch him. Just saying.

NEW YORK (USA): 2023 world 1500m champion Josh Kerr has been added to the field to the two mile line-up for the Millrose Games on 1 February. He faces Olympic 1500m champion Cole Hocker and world indoor 3000m and 5000m record-holder Grant Fisher. Kerr won this race in 2024 in a world indoor best of 8:00.67. In women 60 m Olympic winner Julien Alfred is no longer listed, Dina Asher-Smith is the top name. In the men 60 m Boston winner Ackeem Blake will face Bryan Levell and again Jordany Anthony.
