Furlani & Saraboyukov 839 WL, Schrub 7:29.38 EL/NR, Bol 1:59.07


METZ (FRA, Feb 8): Femke Bol clocked 1:59.07 in her first serious 800m race at the Meeting Metz Moselle Athlélor (WIT Silver), it is a short-track NR and PB, Switzerland’s Valentina Rosamilia finished second (1:59.90 PBi). Mattia Furlani  won the high-quality duel in the long jump with 839 WL/=PB (x-838-833-828-839-823), by virtue of the next-best leap, from Bozhidar Saraboyukov 839 WL/NR (794-815-813-837-839-824), Carey McLeod finished third (790).

Yann Schrub won the 3000m in 7:29.38 EL/NR ahead of Ruben Querinjean from Luxembourg (7:40.64 NR). Tina Šutej topped the pole vault with 480 over Amálie Švábíková (475 NR indoor). Patrizia van der Weken clocked 7.08 to win the 60m from Minke Bisschops of Netherlands (7.11 PB), and Pia Skrzyszowska in 7.82 defeated Ditaji Kambundji (7.87) in the 60m hurdles with Denmark’s Ida Beiter Bomme third (7.95 PB). Henriette Jaeger won the 400m in 50.61 ahead of Emma Zapletalová (50.78 NRi) and Lurdes Gloria Manuel (51.03 PBi), with Kenya’s Mercy Oketch winning the C-race (51.53 NRi). Ethiopian clean sweep in the 3000m, Birtukan Molla in 8:40.49 ahead of U20 runners Shito Gumi (8:41.18) and Aster Areri (8:41.75). Samuel Chapple topped the 1500m in 3:35.83 over Australia’s Adam Spencer (3:35.89 PBi) and Ignacio Fontes (3:36.23 PBi), while Algeria’s Mohamed Ali Gouamed won the 800m in 1:44.67 NRi from Jordan Terrasse (1:45.57 PBi).

Fast winning times in all three 200m heats by Jael Bestué 22.69 NRi, Torrie Lewis 22.70 and Lurdes Gloria Manuel 23.06 PB. Attila Molnár was the fastest in the 400m in 45.57, also Muhammad Abdallah Kounta 45.82 PBi in another heat.
