KARLSRUHE (GER, Feb 8): Yaroslava Mahuchikh cleared 201 (and tried 204) and won the high jump from Yuliya Levchenko (196) at the Indoor Meeting Karlsruhe (WIT Gold).

Larissa Iapichino leaped to 684 in the long jump ahead of Hilary Kpatcha (673) with Malaika Mihambo fourth (645). Azeddine Habz topped the 1500m in 3:33.36 ahead of Federico Riva (3:33.94 NRi), Jochem Vermeulen (3:35.48 PBi) and Mariano García (3:35.53 PB). Emmanuel Eseark topped the 60m hurdles in 7.86 ahead of Laeticia Bapté (7.95, 7.93 in heats) and Sacha Alessandrini (7.96 PB). Georgia Hunter-Bell set an early world lead of 4:00.04 in the 1500m winning over Birke Haylom (4:00.88) and Agathe Guillemot (4:02.12 NRi), while Gabriela Debues-Stafford won the 3000m in 8:35.94 ahead of Elise Cranny (8:37.06) with Laura Muir fifth (8:40.44). Sondre Guttormsen was the best in the pole vault with 584 over Cole Walsh (578).

Other wins for Egypt’s Bassant Hemida in the 400m (51.97), Alexander Stepanov in the 800m (1:46.17), and Yasser Triki in the national triple jump (16.67).
