Sinclaire Johnson has had a good indoor season. She also changed sponsors.
Sinclaire moved from a long-time sponsor, NIKE, to HOKA. HOKA issued a news release about her joining the brand, and another about her Sound Running race.
This season, Sinclaire opened at NB Indoor with a close second in 4:01.30 , the #4 US performance indoors (Jan. 24). Then, on February 1, Sinclaire was pacemaker in Wanamaker Mile, finishing 10th in 4:24.55.
And then, on February 14, Sinclaire battled Nikki Hiltz in the 3,000m, scoring a second and PB of 8:35.48!
Sinclaire will compete next, Feb 28-March 1 at the USATF Indoor Championships. Sinclaire Johnson is focused on the World Indoors, March 20-23 in Poland.
HOKA’s Sinclaire Johnson Secures Second Place at the Sound Invite Women’s 3000m.
This weekend, (Feb 14) HOKA Elite Athlete Sinclaire Johnson delivered a standout performance in the Women’s 3000m race at the Sound Invite in Winston-Salem, finishing in second place.
Johnson, 27 years old, completed the race in 8:35.48, a personal record, competing in the HOKA Cielo FlyX Elite.
Since Johnson’s announcement as the newest addition to HOKA’s elite athlete roster, she has made a strong debut, earning a second-place finish at the 2026 Indoor Grand Women’s 1500m and placing tenth at the 2026 Millrose Games. The middle-distance standout is the current American record holder in the track mile (4:16.32) and will play a key role in strengthening HOKA’s road and track presence as one of the country’s leading middle-distance contenders.

This race continues the strong start to Johnson’s season as she sets her sights on the 2026 World Indoor Championship.
The Sound Invite is Sound Running’s first-ever indoor meet, featuring elite athletes competing on the first US track to feature the Mondotrack surface used at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
“This performance illustrates why Sinclaire is such a vital part of our athlete roster. Beyond her speed, it’s the consistency and discipline she brings to every race that defines our shared pursuit of excellence,” said Steve DeKoker, Senior Director of Global Sports Marketing at HOKA. “It’s so rewarding to see her represent the HOKA brand so well on the track, and we look forward to maintaining this momentum as the season continues.”
