Lyles for Ostrava Golden Spike, Tamberi returns
OSTRAVA (CZE): Olympic and World champion Noah Lyles will make his debut at the 65th Ostrava Golden Spike (WACT Gold) on 16 June, and he will race the 150m. “I am very happy to present myself at the Zlatá tretra in Ostrava in the Czech Republic. It is really special for me, because I have been following this meeting for years. I will run 150 meters and maybe attack the world’s best performance,” Lyles said.

The World Best was achieved last weekend in Miramar (14.92 by Kishane Thompson). Home aces Jan Štefela (high jump) and Karolína Maňasová (100m) will have strong opponents in Gianmarco Tamberi (return to Ostrava after 2022 and 230 wins) and Ewa Swoboda, respectively.

The 100m hurdles will feature both WR holders (outdoor and indoor), Tobi Amusan and Devynne Charlton, against Nadine Visser, while World Indoor champion Jakub Szymanski will compete in the men’s hurdles. Josh Hoey will attempt to break the 1000m world record in competition against Mohammed Attaoui. Leonardo Fabbri, Jordan Geist, and Tomáš Staněk are the top names in the shot put.
