Sorry on the delay here. Catching up a bit on the exciting last two weeks.

Here are my top performances by Americans at the Rabat Diamond League, held in Rabat, Morocco, on May 31, 2026!

  1. Kenny Bednarek won the 200 meters in Rabat, in a fine meet record of 19.69! Watch Kenny come off the turn. He stays focused, and he actually runs through the finish!

  2. Joe Kovacs, a man who won medals in eight straight global events over eight straight years, is leading the world in the shot put. In Rabat, Joe Kovacs threw 22.58 meters, also a new meet record. Joe Kovacs, who lost to Ryan Crouser in two Summer Olympics and three World champs, defeated Ryan Crouser, who is just beginning his season. Following Kovacs and Crouser were Jordan Geist and Roger Steen, giving the US a sweep of the top four in the Men’s shot put.

  3. Jacory Patterson won the 400 meters in Rabat in 2025. He did the exact same thing in 2026, running 44.11, a new Meet record in his win in Rabat 2026. Khaleb McRae, world indoor silver medalist, finished third in 44.40.

  4. How did Yared Nuguse debut in 2026 outdoors? Well, the Goose won the 1,500 meters in a fine 3:30.35!

  5. Cambrea Sturgis, training partner of Gabby Thomas, won her first Diamond League race, with a win over the furlong in 22.21 seconds. American Kayla White was second in the 200m in 22.28.

  6. Valarie Allman, World Champion, two-time Olympic champion, won the discus in Rabat in a fine throw of 68.75 meters!

  7. Anna Cockrell took second in the 400-meter hurdles in 53.18, right behind Emma Zapletalova, who won in a meet record and went under 53 seconds for the first time at the 400 m hurdles, in 52.82, Slovak National record!
