The Stockholm Diamond League was held in the 1912 Olympic stadium on June 7, 2026. The 20,000 fans enjoyed some spectacular performances in the Swedish capital in cool, windy weather.
RunBlogRun visited several Bauhaus Galan DL meetings. We love the pressers, the stadium’s history, the buildup to major events, and the crowd’s love for great global track and field.
Our top American performances:
- Cooper Lutkenhaus outleaned Marco Arop, Olympic silver medalist, in the 800 meters. Cooper and 1:42.70 to 1:42.80 by Arop! Lutkenhaus’s 1;42.80.

Roisin is from Wisconsin! Well done, Roisin! (We interviewed Roisin in her senior year of high school. Roisin runs for NB Boston.

July 31 – August 3, 2025 - Chase Jackson took second in the women’s shot put in 19.91m. Jessica Schilder, who recently blasted a 21.09m in China, threw 20.89 meters in Stockholm.

9. Sam Mattis was 5th in the Men’s discus in 66.03 meters. The discus was won by Daniel Stahl, SWE, the Tokyo gold medalist, with a throw of 69.60 meters. or Championships and bronze at the Birmingham WIC 2018. Oh, and do not forget that Sam Kendricks is the 2017 and 2019 World Outdoor gold medalist.

10. Zach Bradford was fifth in the Men’s pole vault with a vault of 5.80 meters. Zach is the 2026 USATF Indoor pole vault champ, where he first cleared 6 meters. Sam Kendricks was in 8th in 5.60 meters. Sam is the WC gold medalist for London 2017 and Doha 2019, the Olympic bronze medalist for Rio 2016, and the Olympic silver medalist for Paris 2024.
