The Doha Diamond League is one of my favorite meets. This year, thanks to the U.S. war with Iran, the Doha meet went from May 16 to June 19. The meet went well, even with some real challenges. Logistics for the Diamond League are difficult, but with a war going on, it is a bit insane, as the Gulf states are the focus of Iranian retribution.
- Addy Wiley won her first Diamond League race! Addy held off Tsige Duguma, the world indoor champion, down the final straight. Listening to the Athletes Lounge, Flotrack’s podcast on the meet, with Trey Hardee, English Gardner, Andrew Wheating, and Ryan Fenton cheering on Addy, was a lot of fun!
