The first Diamond League meeting in 2026 was at the Shanghai/Keqiao Diamond League on May 16, 2026.
The top British performances:
- Lawrence Okaye, British NR in Men’s discus, threw 66.03 meters for fourth in the opening discus of the DL season.

Ben Pattison, photo by European Athletics - Amy Hunt opened her DL season at the 200 meters, where she finished fifth in 22.47. The 200m was won by Shericka Jackson.
