Stuart Weir has written over 1.5 million words for RunBlogRun. At the European champs, Stuart wrote 24 columns, over 12,500 words. Stuart did a piece on Amy Hunt for Lausanne and Oblique Seville for Silesia. He has some family obligations, so I am posting the Brits in the Meet column for Silesia . I will also do an Americans in Meet for Silesia!
- Jake Heyward finished sixth in the Men’s 1,500m in 3:31.47. The winner was Ethan Strand, US, in 3:30.77. Cole Hocker was third; Jake Ingebrigtsen was fourth.
- Hannah Nuttall, fresh off her 5000m race at Europeans (5th in Euro 5000m in 15:41.27), ran a fine 14:57.63, in 11th, in a 5,000m won by Nadia Battocletti in 14:54. Sixteen women under 15 minutes in 5000 meters in Silesia!
- Charlotte Henrich, a young British sprinter, ran 35.92, second to Lourdes Gloria Manuel, CZE, in the 300 meters, a seldom-run, non-Diamond League meet. Charlotte was 4th for England in W400m in 51.16. In the Europeans, she finished sixth in the 400m in 51.29 and won silver medals in the mixed 4x400m and 4x400m relay.
- Jeremiah Azu was ninth in the first heat of the Men’s 100 meters, in 10.26. He did not make the final. Jeremiah was fifth in the Glasgow 2026 CG Men’s 100m final. In Birmingham, Jeremiah took the silver medal in the Men’s 100m in 10.16, adding gold medals in the EA Mixed 4x100m and Men’s 4×100 meter relay.
- Romell Glave ran 10.14 in the second heat of the Men’s 100 meters, placing 6th in his heat. At the European Champs, Romell led a 1-2 sweep in the Men’s 100m, adding another gold, in the Men’s 4x100m relay team for Team GB, where he was the anchor!
