Lucky Yego
ELDORET (KEN): World javelin champion Julius Yego has said he is lucky to be alive after being involved in a car accident on Sunday, informs Sport24. Yego collided with a trailer lorry on the Nairobi-Eldoret highway on Sunday night and while he escaped without any major injuries, he was kept in hospital overnight in Eldoret as a precaution. “The driver of the trailer made a sudden U-turn in the middle of the road – there was no way I could have avoided him. I slammed so hard on the car brakes while hooting at the driver, that I thought I had broken my leg. I am lucky to be alive,” he said.
