FLINT (USA): Dathan Ritzenhein needs minor surgery after tearing 20 to 50 percent of his plantar fascia, informs M-Live. Ritzenhein dropped out of the New York Marathon but hopes to return to competition by February.

RunBlogRun opines: Dathan Ritzenhein was in fantastic shape. Sad that he got injured during race. We look forward to seeing Ritz run the marathon he is destined to run.
