The Doha Press Points are a chance for media to interact with the stars of the sport. Today, we spoke with Nia Ali, the Rio Olympic silver medalist at the 100m hurdles and Keni Harrison, the World record holder at the 100 meter hurdles. Both are articulate and thoughtful young women, at the top of their hurdling powers.

They are proud to be in an event that is so competitive. Nia noted how there could be different American hurdlers each and every year, a sign to her that the 100 meter hurdles is so tough. Keni noted she had a very tough day at the Olympic Trials in Eugene, where one must be perfect on that day, or one does not make the team. For Keni, there was some redemption setting the new WR of 12.20 post Olympics, but, as one can see, the pain is there.

This interview was fun and fast. Ali and Harrison spoke of their fitness, and their enjoyment of racing and the benefits of the hot weather in Doha. We should see some very fast times in Doha on May 5, 2017.
