Over 35 000 spectators saw in total 5 World leads, 3 meet records and 1 Diamond League record at 2nd meet of the 8th season of the series. The result of the day was the long jump by Luvo Manyonga who 3 times bettered the meet record with last attempt beeing also the best of the DL which started in 2010. Afterwards he said that he plans for 880 in the season. Olympic winners posted World leads (Thompson, Miller-Uibo, Kipyegon), new generation was represented by unexpected winners Lyles and K. Bett. Discus together for men and women was long and with nearly no wind no special marks were achieved. Obiri with superb last 2 rounds achieved 13th best performance ever.
