Not understanding Russian, but realizing that Ms. Lasitskene is cautious that media will always ask her about Russian doping, this writer focused on her performances and goals in sport. Mariya did show several things: she is both, terribly confident of her jumping and terribly competitive. Note that she says that she competes with herself, and does not believe anyone can jump with her, when she is at her best.
