NBC family of networks to air live coverage of World Championships
EUGENE, Ore. – A record number of 2,038 track and field athletes from 205 countries across the globe open competition in the 2017 IAAF World Championships at Olympic Stadium in London on Friday.
If you’re wondering how to watch, there are four options.
NBC, NBC Sports Network, the newly launched Olympic Channel and NBC Sports Gold will team up to broadcast more than 100 hours of coverage during the 10-day meet which concludes on Sunday, Aug. 13.
There will be daily live coverage of the World Championships on either NBC or NBC Sports Network. The lone exception is Friday’s tape delay broadcast on NBC Sports Network.
The Olympic Channel, which was launched in the U.S. last month, will carry highlights of the action from London each day beginning Saturday, Aug. 5. It will also carry live action on Aug. 4, 11 and 12.
In addition, each day’s field events will have a dedicated streaming feed on NBC Sports Gold, which requires a fee. NBC Sports Gold will also show the daily live feeds from both NBC and NBC Sports Network.
