The Joint is Jumping!!The Women’s Mile Preview at the HOKA ONE Mile

While the men’s field at this upcoming Wednesday eve’s race has top-notch competitors, the women’s field will no doubt get the joint jumping first!!
2016 Olympian and World Championship Medalist Brenda Martinez, who usually competes at 800 meters will be moving up in distance and will be taking on fellow Olympians Emily Infeld who will be moving down in distance from 10K, along with Ciara Mageean of Ireland, who’s run a 4:22 mile, and Linden Hall of Australia, who sports a 4:23 time. Add in fellow Australians Genevieve LaCaze & Heidi See along with Kate Van Buskirk of Canada and fans could see a fast race.
But don’t discount Emily Lipari and Hannah Fields who have won Mile races nationally over the summer and may hunger for more. Last year Amanda Eccleston set the women’s mark of 4:26.87. If the record is broken, the winning athlete will claim a $5,000 bonus, while any other athlete under the mark can earn $1,000.
With a field like this, the joint will be jumping!!
