The triple jump was a tough competition. Christian Taylor leaped 17.68m in his third attempt and took the gold medal. In his third attempt, Will Claye cemented the silver medal with 17.63 meters. The bronze medal was won by Nelson Evora, the grand old man of the triple jump, leaped 17.19 meters, to add to his medal haul.

But what was wonderful about this presser was the love fest that Christian Taylor and Will Claye shared on their fellow jumper, Nelson Evora, who had a few competitions this year. Taylor and Claye admire Evora, and his devotion to the triple jump.
