KINGSTON (JAM): Former world 100m champion Yohan Blake is targeting the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast next April, informs the Jamaica Star. “I feel very good, my coach is happy, training is going great and I am looking forward to this season,” said Blake. “I kick it off with the Commonwealth Games and so I am going to start from there. I just want to keep focused because I am over all my injuries,” he said.
RunBlogRun opines: Yohan Blake was less than spectacular in 2017. The big question is when and if Yohan Blake can retake the form that he had in 2011 and 2012. That was five years ago. Blake is entertaining, but he needs to find his voice and his feet. We wish him good luck in performing well in the April 2018 Commonwealth Games. To regain form is a tough job. To overcome injuries, and regain fitness is even tougher.
