The U.S. elite fields announced on December 11 for the 2018 BAA Boston Marathon by elite field sponsor John Hancock were exciting! From Galen Rupp, Abraham Abdiraham, to Dathan Ritzenhein on the men’s side. The women’s side, with Shalane Flanagan, Des Linden, Jordan Hasay, and Molly Huddle are pretty impressive. RunBlogRun is calling the American women’s field for Boston 2018 as a race for the ages!

With Shalane Flanagan, 2017 NYC Champion, Des Linden, 2011 Boston second place, Molly Huddle, NYC 2016 third place, AR, 10,000 meters and Jordan Hasay, 3rd in Boston, 3rd in Chicago, 2:20:57 will be dueling on the streets of Boston. This will be an epic race.

His first article, on Don Bowden, America's first sub-4 minute miler, was published in RW in 1983. Larry has published several magazines on athletics, from American Athletics to the U.S. version of Spikes magazine. He currently manages the content and marketing development of the RunningNetwork, The Shoe Addicts, and RunBlogRun. Of RunBlogRun, his daily pilgrimage with the sport, Larry says: "I have to admit, I love traveling to far away meets, writing about the sport I love, and the athletes I respect, for my readers at runblogrun.com, the most of anything I have ever done, except, maybe running itself."
