Nike Talks World Indoors 2018: Week 4, Day 2, Holly Bradshaw (nee Bleasdale) focus on Birmingham 2018

This is Nike Talks World Indoors 2018: Week 4, Day 2. Here is our British athlete for the week (we write about US, British, European, African, Asian, then, on weekends, history of world indoors)! We are writing about the Nike athletes who are planning on competing in Birmingham, March 1-4, 2018. For Tuesday, our focus is Holly Bradshaw. Holly Bleasdale is one of the top pole vaulters in the World. Having competing in London 2012 and Rio 2016, Holly is one of those athletes that could win a medal in Birmingham. Her 4.87 meter PB shows that she has the talent. In 2013, Holly won the European Indoor title in Gotherburg, Sweden. In 2017, outdoor London, Holly was oh so close on the bronze medal, only loosing in the countback, which then gave her sixth.

For Holly Bleasdale, the focus of 2018 is Birmingham and the Commonwealth Games. Her short indoor season is focused on getting her ready for Birmingham.

In Birmingham, Holly Bradshaw will battle Sandi Morris, Katerina Stefanidi, Jenn Suhr among others. The indoor world championships could be a great place for Holly to get into the medal battle and move up in the pole vault food chain.

Holly Bradshaw has also won a bronze medal in World Indoors in Istanbul. This year could be her year to move up and show the world her talent and focus.

We wish Holly Bradshwa the best at her British Trials and then, in Birmingham. The women’s pole vault should be one of the most competitive events of the indoor championships. And, with a home crowd, Holly Bradshaw should have even more inspiration.
