MOUNTAIN VIEW (USA): The 100 m World champion Tori Bowie wants to contest more 200 m races this summer than last year. In 2017 Bowie competed only at 3 events in the half-lap race (Gainesville, Prefontaine, US Champs). “As far as the outdoor season, my goal is to focus more on the 200 this year. It would be lovely to have a [200] bye for the 2019 World Championships year. But I know that right now I just have to continue to stay consistent in what I’m doing and see what happens,” she said in an interview with Track and Field News. As World champion she already has the bye for Doha 2019 in the 100 m.
