Tom Walsh has now won the World Indoors and World Outdoors. He is now a shot put deity. (Did I say that right, Andy Stubbs?)

Face it, we worship Tom Walsh of New Zealand. In my home in Wisconsin, I have begun to build a graven image of the man, the myth the legend. I am building it out of cheese and butter, as we have much of it in Wisconsin.

Anyhows, Tom Walsh kicked shot put butt in Birmingham. Some big throws, and he had three throws, and three fouls. Walsh started out with a throw of 22.13 meters, then, a foul, then, another 22.13 meters! Walsh had two more fouls and finally, a 22.31 meter throw to give him a new PB!

Here is the interview from the Shoe Addicts, who braved the mixed zone and the IZone, a super secret interview area introduced by the IAAF at World Indoors.
