With 3 pace setters, and the half way goal of 61 minutes, Eliud Kipchoge could be on a race with destiny on Sunday, September 16, 2018. The Olympic champion at the Marathon, Eliud Kipchoge has won every marathon but one. KIpchoge has won nine of ten marathons, with his only defeat was in 2013, BMW Berlin, where Wilson Kipsang ran the then world record of 2:03.23!
Kipchoge is a classic distance runner. Eliud has excelled at cross country, track and field, and then a move to road running. What you find below are interviews with Eliud Kipchoge, and Coach Patrick Sang. Coach Sang is the 1992 Olympic bronze medalist at the steeplechase, and also won two WC silver medals at the same distance. He has been Kipchoge’s coach for many years.

And what does one say about the coach/athlete relationship? Patrick Sang is to distance runners what Lance Brauman is to sprinters: he’s an athlete whisperer. Sang has taken his athletic experience and used it to coach the likes of Eliud Kipchoge and Geoffrey Kamworor.
