CHICAGO (USA): Olympic triathlon champion Gwen Jorgensen will be racing in the Chicago Marathon on Sunday to “gain experience,” informs LetsRun.com. “This marathon is all about gaining experience and learning. I have worked hard and have an amazing support team behind me,” said Jorgensen, who is looking to run even splits or negative splits.

🚨RACE WEEK Time to lace up and get ready for @chimarathon It’s been 10 weeks since I last raced and I thought I would struggle with not racing for that long but this training cycle has been an incredible process. I am so excited to pin my number on and race this Sunday. I will strive to do my best. I am not fixated on a time or place because I cannot control the weather or my competitors. I have had so much support getting me to the start. Pat, Jerry, @bowermantc @the.island.house @nikerunning @sleepnumber @peteandgerrys @iamspecialized @polarglobal @oakley @trainingpeaks Thank you to all of my followers who have provided so much encouragement along the way. 📸 @talbotcox
